John Deere Precision Upgrades offers the Precision Essentials Program that is targeted at upgrading your whole-farm precision ag technology operating system.
The Precision Essentials Program offers a whole new way of moving customers forward in technology adoption on their farm. This is a new business model for hardware and software, lowering the upfront cost so customers can adopt the latest technology quickly while giving them the flexibility to only pay for what their farm needs.
What is included in the Precision Essentials Program?
Customers have an option on how they want to purchase their precision ag components and software from John Deere, through the Precision Essentials Program or the traditional business model. John Deere is dedicated to helping customers move forward in their precision ag journey and experience the benefits of hardware and software updates found in the G5 and G5Plus Display, StarFire™ Universal Receivers, and M and R Modems.
Program structure
With a one-time purchase price for John Deere’s Precision Essentials Hardware kit, customers choose from one of the two hardware kit options to outfit their fleet with the latest technology. Additionally, customers now have the opportunity to tailor their kit to their needs even more, with two new optional add-ons.

NOTES:
- *The initial Precision Essentials AutoTrac license in a kit has 2-years of use, and each subsequent renewal is 1-year. Essentials, Advanced, and SF-RTK licenses are 1-year initially, and 1-year for renewal. Customers are provided with flexibility to continue with current feature set, upgrade to a license with additional features, downgrade to a reduced feature set, or discontinue renewal.

- Selection of one of the above licenses is required at time of order.
- With an AutoTrac and Essentials License purchase, customers would have the option to add an SF-RTK License
at any time.
- The G5 and G5Plus Universal display included with this package will NOT be able to add a Permanent License for AutoTrac, Section Control, or RowSense. To utilize these features, customers will need to purchase a yearly renewable license.
