Eliminate the need to manually tag round cotton modules with John Deere Harvest Identification, Cotton Pro. This system allows cotton growers to be able to automatically document module production from the cab of the CP770 Self-Propelled Cotton Picker or CS770 Self-Propelled Cotton Stripper.

How it works

Increase efficiency within your operation by eliminating manual tagging

John Deere Harvest Identification, Cotton Pro tracks modules, so you don’t have to. This system utilizes the radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader on the harvester to record the module serial number off the RFID tags embedded in the round module wrap. The system combines the module serial number with the client, farm, field, variety, harvest date, time, and GPS location of where the module was wrapped if the harvester is equipped with a StarFire™ Receiver.

The module data is transferred wirelessly and securely from the harvester’s in-cab display to your John Deere Operations Center™ account where you can review and share the data in the Analyze tools.

Harvest Identification, Cotton Pro allows you to track modules in real-time throughout the harvest day using a run page on the in-cab display. This technology helps you to make better decisions on when to start and stop harvest and can improve communication with your crew by adding a special note for a particular module.

Easily track module production with customizable and resettable counters. John Deere Harvest Identification, Cotton not only documents the critical module information as the round cotton module is wrapped, it also provides counters that increment up each time a module is wrapped. This provides the ability for you to set each counter for specific information. For example, one counter may track module production per field while the second counter tracks total cotton module production for the harvest season. Each counter is resettable at any time to allow for maximum flexibility and customization.

Transfer data to the gin

John Deere is simplifying the transfer of module data from the farm to the gin. With John Deere Harvest Identification, Cotton Pro all critical module information such as module serial number, client, farm, field, variety, latitude, and longitude of where the module was wrapped is automatically transferred to Operations Center. The Analyze tool in Operations Center web allows you to transfer your module data to your gin’s Operations Center account or any other trusted advisor with the click of a button.
